HearPlay runs HearPlay and is responsible for the personal data described here.
Your microphone
Sound from your microphone is analysed in real time inside your browser to recognise notes. It is never recorded, stored or sent to our servers or anyone else.
What we store
- Your email address — only if you subscribe or ask for a sign-in link. We use it to sign you in and to send messages about your subscription.
- Subscription status — whether your subscription is active, received from Stripe.
- A session cookie — keeps you signed in and protects forms. No advertising or tracking cookies.
- Preferences in your browser — settings such as note names or sensitivity, and MIDI files you import, stay in your browser's local storage.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data you give them at checkout.
Sign-in links are sent through our email provider. We don't send newsletters or marketing unless you ask for them.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and subscription record while you have an account and as long as tax law requires for billing records. Ask us and we will delete the rest.
