HearPlay is operated by HearPlay. By using the site you agree to these terms.

The service

HearPlay shows sheet music and uses your device's microphone, inside your browser, to check the notes you play. Some songs are free; the rest are available with a subscription.

Subscription and payment

The subscription costs $3 per month, charged in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the account menu in the app (“Cancel subscription”), which opens the cancellation page of our payment provider, Stripe. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees.

Refunds

If something went wrong with a charge, write to us within 14 days and we will make it right, including a full refund of the last payment.

Acceptable use

Don't try to break, overload or resell the service, or to download the paid song library in bulk. Accounts are personal.

Music

The pieces are in the public domain or published under open licenses; see music credits. Files you import yourself stay on your device and are your responsibility.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. Note detection depends on your microphone, room and instrument and will sometimes be wrong. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last three months.

Changes

We may update these terms; if a change matters for your subscription we will tell you by email before it applies.
